The Xikar Xi3 Redwood cigar cutter have blades hardened to a Rockwell HRC rating of 57, the result is the hardest, sharpest blade you can buy. The body retains the classic XIKAR shape but the cutter is incased in a hard and valuable, reddish-brown wood know as Redwood. Redwood is often used to build decks and outdoor furnishings. Redwood grows along the Pacific coast of the United States in California and Oregon. They will cut a 54 ring gauge cigar in half. Depending on how much cap you cut, they will cut up to a 60 ring gauge cigar.Â
